Moving a License

Easy-Wire licenses can be transferred from one of a customer's machines to another. To transfer machines from one customer to another, or from one of a customer's sites to another, see Moving a Machine.

 

Options enabled on 4200 Series testers cannot be moved to a different tester. 

 

To move a license:

 

  1. Using Filters as needed, find the customer on the Customer License Management page and select Edit License File.

 

         

 

  1. On the Edit License File page, find the source machine (the machine with the licenses that will be transferred). If the customer has multiple testers, one of the filters can be used. Alternatively, the Advanced Search function can be used from the Customer License Management page to locate the machine. Once the machine is found, select License Options.

 

         

 

  1. In the License Options dialog, select Manage Station.

 

         

 

  1. In The Manage Station dialog select Transfer Licenses.

 

       

 

  1. In the Transfer dialog, select the Destination Machine (the machine to which the license will be transferred) from the drop-down list and click Save. 

 

         

 

  1. Back on the Edit License File page, select Save & Download License File.

 

        

 

  1. Send the customer the new License File. Instructions for importing the license file can be found in the tester's User Manual and in the Easy-Wire Help. A video of the process is available at activate.easy-wire.com. To remove the license from the source machine, the license file must also be imported on that machine.
